Work-life balance – If faced with the following dilemma what would you choose? Stay late to meet a client deadline, or attend your child’s Christmas play.
Christmas is closer than you think, what will you be doing?
In my quest to find out how busy lawyers manage a full caseload with a full house at home. I wonder how very few of you would choose your child’s Christmas play over a client deadline. Of course, I suspect (but correct me if I am wrong) that most would choose to miss the Christmas play because you have an obligation to your clients, your firm and if you did’nt work you couldn’t support your family in the first place. True?
But is it always necessary to miss out on family matters, that matter most to your children? Could it be simply a case of managing your time more effectively? Do you already work so many hours that your time at home gets eaten into? What is the answer to client and home demands? Have you found a solution to the work-life balance dilemma?
If any of you can supply your own helpful tips and suggestions, I would be happy to share the results on my site and on DeferoLaw for all to benefit from.
Also, do you work more than 55 hours a week? Take the poll on my site, already 66.7% say they work more than 55 hours a week.
