Do your Local Authority Searches contain the most up to date information?

Do they contain all the information needed regarding the recent Government developments and accurate information concerning Radon?

Many providers of Local Authority Searches including councils are not giving information on the HS2 railway line, the Green Deal and only answer Q3.13 with a simple 'yes' or 'no'. We put a percentage e.g. 'The property is in a Radon Affected Area, as between 5 and 10% of properties are above the Action Level'.

Wrexham Council finishes Europes largest solar scheme on their social housing

Wrexham County Council now has one in three of their social housing fitted with solar panels. This ambitious scheme which was to be completed on time for the 3rd March, involved the Council fitting 30,000 Sharp solar panels from the local Sharp factory to 3,000 of their properties.

Changes to the Energy Performance Certificate due in April 2012



An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is used to show how ‘green’ or ‘energy efficient’ a property is. The Government have the EPC in order to record the amount of ‘greenhouse gasses’ produced by the country.

A new scheme has been approved by the Government for a toll bridge to be built over the River Mersey from Runcorn to Widnes. The main purpose of the £470 million project is to reduce the congestion on the Silver Jubilee Bridge that currently joins the two towns.

EPC needed for Higher Rate FIT

As from the 1st April 2012 homes with new solar Photovoltaic “PV” systems hoping to claim the higher feed-in-tariff will need an Energy Performance Certificate “EPC”.
